The aircraft, which operates without a pilot on board and can perform spraying both during the day and at night, offers Brazilian producers a modern and low operational cost solution for applying inputs over large areas. “We already have operations planned for this second half of the year with the Pelican 2 at rural producers in the regions of Mato Grosso and Western Bahia,” says Mateus Dallacqua, Sales and Innovation Director at Synerjet.
For the executive, with the increase in orders and strong adoption by the Brazilian market, the partnership with Pyka consolidates as one of the most important for agribusiness. “The Pelican 2 delivers more than we promised: efficiency, sustainability, and cost reduction for the rural producer,” he highlights.
High performance and full autonomy
The Pelican 2 operates with 3D aerial navigation technology, laser radar, and onboard intelligence, allowing autonomous spraying flights without the need for a pilot. The aircraft has a battery autonomy of 45 minutes and is capable of spraying up to 90 hectares per hour, with a 300-liter tank and an application range of 18 meters.
“We have cases where the aircraft is performing more than 90 hectares per hour. Additionally, independent consultancies, such as Agroefetiva, have proven that the Pelican's application range exceeds 20 meters, against the 18 meters promised by the manufacturer,” says Dallacqua.
Being 100% electric, Pyka's aircraft generates significant savings in inputs and fuels. A ground spraying tractor, for example, consumes on average 1 liter of diesel per hectare applied. The Pelican 2, even when recharged in the field with a generator, consumes up to 10 times less diesel per hectare, in addition to eliminating noise and direct CO2 emissions during flight.
Furthermore, the autonomous aircraft reduces soil compaction by replacing tractor passes and enables spraying at ideal times for the use of biological products or for controlling more sensitive pests, a decisive gain for crops such as soy, cotton, and sugarcane.
“Night flight has been a competitive and decisive differential. It expands the spraying window, ensures more favorable application conditions, and doubles the daily operational capacity. All our clients see this as a great added value,” the director emphasizes.
Operation expansion and continuous support
With the expansion of the partnership with Pyka, Synerjet already plans the delivery of the first units for the 2026/2027 harvest, with the expectation of strengthening its presence in the main agricultural hubs of Brazil. To ensure the continuous success of the operation, Synerjet relies on a specialized technical support network and regional partnerships for maintenance and service.
“The expansion of the partnership reflects the market's confidence in our ability to offer efficient and innovative solutions. The Pelican 2 represents the future of agricultural aviation, and we are ready to meet the growing demand in Brazil and Latin America,” concludes Dallacqua.
